CAPCO Marketing Proudly Promoting Let's Move!

Let's Move We are proud to announce that we are actively promoting the Let's Move! intitative, launched by First Lady Michelle Obama, in all of our diabetes-related publications and websites.

Let's Move! is dedicated to solving the problem of obesity within a generation, so that children born today will grow up healthier and able to pursue their dreams. Sure, this is an ambitious goal. But with your help, we can do it.

Combining comprehensive strategies with common sense, Let's Move! is about putting children on the path to a healthy future during their earliest months and years. Giving parents helpful information and fostering environments that support healthy choices. Providing healthier foods in our schools. Ensuring that every family has access to healthy, affordable food. And, helping children become more physically active.

At the launch of the initiative, President Barack Obama signed a Presidential Memorandum creating the first-ever Task Force on Childhood Obesity to conduct a review of every single programs and policies relating to child nutrition and physical activity and develop a national action plan to maximize federal resources and set concrete benchmarks toward the First Lady's national goal. The Task Force recommendations focus on the five pillars of the First Lady's Let's Move! initiative:

  • Creating a healthy start for children
  • Empowering parents and caregivers
  • Providing healthy food in schools
  • Improving access to healthy, affordable foods
  • Increasing physical activity

Everyone has a role to play in reducing childhood obesity, including parents and caregivers, elected officials from all levels of government, schools, health care professionals, faith-based and community-based organizations, and private sector companies. Your involvement is key to ensuring a healthy future for our children.

Telemarketing Phone Calls

CAPCO Marketing is aware that people have been receiving unsolicited phone calls from a company claiming to represent The Diabetic Network, as well as other similar sounding diabetes-related organizations.

This group has no relationship or affiliation with our own The Diabetic Network, Diabetic Gourmet Magazine, the Diabetic Community, or The Diabetic News and we have no control over their obviously inappropriate soliciting/phone activities. They do not represent us in any way.

We are a media/publishing company. We do not sell any diabetes supply products and do not make any marketing/soliciting calls whatsoever. We also do not rent or sell any of our subscription or membership information.

We are cooperating with law enforcement and state attorney offices to investigate and end these unsolicited calls. According to complaints, at least one of the phone numbers being used is 1-800-740-7712.

If you have received one of these calls, you can help support the investigation by filing a detailed complaint with your State Attorney-General including the phone number from which the call originated. You can also file a complaint online with the FCC. Please make sure you do not mistakenly lodge your complaint against us (we are CAPCO Marketing). Thank you for your assistance and cooperation.
